Michael has just completed his third year in Medicine in RCSI. He previously attended Belvedere College.
Research Topic:
Health and Healthcare needs of a Homeless Population in Dublin. This work aims to quantify the physical and mental health burden associated with homelessness and to compare this data with previous research carried out in 1997, 2000 and 2005.
Research Output:
The preliminary data from the 2011 study was presented at both the AUDGPI Conference and the RCSI Research Day, 2012 and was accepted for presentation at SAPC Conference in Glasgow in October 2012. Data from 2011 and the 2012 follow up will be prepared and submitted for publication and will be presented at the RCSI research day, 2013.
This work was also selected for presentation at the Jacqueline Horgan Bronze Medal Award meeting in November 2012.
