Biography: 

Position: Professor of Health Informatics, Robertson Centre for Biostatistics, University of Glasgow.

Colin works at the Robertson Centre for Biostatistics, University of Glasgow which has more than 50 staff covering biostatistics, informatics, database management, data processing and project management. It also jointly runs the West of Scotland Safe Haven with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, providing access to routine clinical data for research. He has research interests in the use of existing routine data within epidemiological studies and in the support of clinical trials and other research methods. He co-led the Scottish Health Informatics Programme (SHIP) capacity building workstream and is developing the training programme for the Scottish Health Informatics Research Centre programme. He has published widely in the epidemiological and clinical medicine literature. For further information on his research and teaching activity see here.
